| 2008: Huge demand for the dollar on Monday Dinar Exchange |

July 7, 2008 Demand for the dollar was higher in the Iraqi Central Bank's auction on Monday, reaching $84.480 million compared to $49.560 million on Sunday. "The demand hit $27.930 million in cash and $56.550 million in foreign transfers outside the country, all covered by the bank at an exchange rate of 1,194 Iraqi dinars per dollar," according to the central bank's daily bulletin, which was received by Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq - (VOI).
