| 2008: Slight increase in the demand for dollar on Sunday |

August 3, 2008 Demand for the dollar was slightly higher in the Central Bank of Iraq's (CBI) auction on Sunday, the first this week, registering at $104.05 million compared to $90.19 million on Thursday. "The demand hit $49.550 million in cash and $54.500 million in foreign transfers outside the country, all covered by the bank at an exchange rate of 1,190 Iraqi dinars per dollar, one tick lower than the previous session," according to the central bank's daily bulletin, which was received by Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq - (VOI).
