| 2008: Stable demand for the dollar on Monday in Iraqi Dinar Auction |

July 28, 2008 Demand for the dollar was stable in the Central Bank of Iraq's (CBI) auction on Monday, registering at $47.900 million compared to $47.555 million on Sunday. "The demand hit $11.500 million in cash and $36.400 million in foreign transfers outside the country, all covered by the bank at an exchange rate of 1,192 Iraqi dinars per dollar, same as yesterday," according to a CBI consultant, Madhhar Mohammed Saleh, who is also a member of the committee assigned to supervise the auction.
