Iraqi airways to restart Baghdad-London route
Iraq and Britain agreed to restart the air flight between them, the director of civil aviation at the Iraqi airways said on Wednesday.
“According to the memorandum of understanding that we signed with Britain, the U.S. side assigned three carriers and we assigned one for air transportation between the two countries,” Sobhi al-Shebani told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“There will be direct flights between Baghdad and London according to this route,” he added.
“Those flights will be expanded to include other British cities,” he said.
Al-Shebani pointed out that other routes with Pakistan, India and Germany will be started in the near future.
