Iraqi dinar is not traded on the world banking system and is not readily available outside of Iraq. It is actually against Iraqi law for Dinar to be transported in or out of Iraq; however, once dinar is outside of Iraq, it is free to be traded worldwide. It is approved by the US Treasury Department, and all of our dinar is declared and registered with the Treasury department via FinCEN form 105s upon US entry. All Iraqi Dinar in the US is generally obtained in Kuwait, UAE, or Jordan from currency dealers (not banks). The cost to purchase Iraqi dinar in these countries is well above $812 per million. |
